Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Is that just DevOps?
No. We focus on infrastructure provisioning, automation and operations - the foundation on which DevOps is built.
Do you support legacy systems?
Yes, we integrate into existing and hybrid environments and automate where appropriate.
How long do projects take?
2-6 weeks for smaller automation tasks, several months for OpenStack projects.
Which technologies do you use?
We mainly work with Ansible, OpenStack, Kayobe, Kolla, GitLab, AWX/Tower, Prometheus, Grafana, Docker/Podman, Kubernetes and system-related tools under Linux. Depending on the project, we integrate additional tools - from CI/CD to monitoring and security hardening.
Can you take over existing Ansible playbooks?
Yes, we analyze and optimize existing playbooks or roles - modular, maintainable and team-capable. On request, we can also migrate from other tools such as Puppet or shell scripts to a modern Ansible structure.
Do you also offer ongoing operation / managed services?
Yes. We enable your teams to operate the infrastructure themselves - through automation, knowledge transfer and clean documentation. However, we can actively support operations on request.
Do you work with cloud providers such as AWS or Azure?
Yes. Our focus is on sovereign, self-operated infrastructure - whether in our own data center or in a private/hybrid cloud based on OpenStack, but we also provide AWS/GCP/Azure services.
How does a typical project work?
After an initial meeting, we analyze the existing environment and define goals. This is followed by the technical implementation in close coordination with your team - iterative, documented and traceable. Optionally, we train internal teams at the end.
How do you deal with security requirements?
We rely on secure defaults, role-based access, logging and CIS-compliant hardening right from the start. Compliance requirements (e.g. ISO 27001) can be supported directly.
Do all systems have to be Linux?
No, but our focus is clearly on Linux. Windows systems can often be integrated via detours (e.g. for AD integration or centralized logs), but are not the focus.
How does collaboration work with larger teams or multiple locations?
We structure automation so that it works in distributed teams: with GitOps workflows, clear roles, review processes and optional connection to CI/CD systems.
